NEXT LEVEL COACHING

Skydive University’s Level 2 Formation Skydiving Coach Course is our advanced one-on-one coaches’ program, which picks up from the “USPA ISP” focus of diving, docking on a formation, and separating to a safe distance from the formation- to more focus on sequential and advanced flying skills.

The course goes beyond the basic safety information and abilities needed to complete the remainder of skills necessary to become a proficient body flyer. The skills strengthened on this level are neutral (mantis), forward and back, downward and upward, and tracking. Additional skills covered include: center turns, lateral (sideward) movements, and super-positional movements. The Level 2 course introduces additional teaching exercises, more psychological tools and advanced skill analysis.

The course is strictly focused on coaching and coaching application. There are no written exams in this course: The rating privileges allow the coach to instruct advanced one-on-one and small group skills- as well as teach the skills needed to be a proficient Load Organizer in formation skydiving (FS). All rated Coach 2's have also realized the advantage of achieving this level when moving on to Instructional courses such as AFFI or Tandem, both in teaching ability and skill strength.
